Who We Are...

Apologies This page is under construction

It was a wet and windy Sunday morning in 2002, when 2 solo riders arrived at Worthing Pier for the annual BoxHill RideOut. There was no-one else present, so they started chatting over a hot cup of char. These 2 intrepid warriors were Pete and Steve who hung around and rode together to BoxHill with the pack. Whilst they were doing this, 2 other solo riders, plus a pillion were at Bucks Barn Services waiting for the pack, these being Wee Markie (with young Mark Boyle) and Henfield Tim. At BoxHill these 5 blokes started talking and enjoyed the ride on to Shalford, for the afternoon 'Do'. Over a pint or two, the idea of starting a new club was formed, phone numbers swapped and the conception occured. It's over 6 years now since the club was born and the numbers have swelled and shrunk several times over the years as people have moved to the area or moved away, had disagreements and left or realised that club life was not for them. They shall be remembered in club lore and bumped into on 'Rides & Rallies'. We are a friendly bunch who socialise together as well as ride our scooters silly miles for a couple of nights under canvas. There are no club subs or initiation to join us, just come along to a meet and get to know us ; If you like us then stay, if not then feel free to leave, the door will always remain open. We welcome any Scooter Rider, but most of us choose to ride Classic Full Metal Framed and Geared Italian bikes like Lambrettas or Vespas. We always have a good natured banter that some strangers might not fully understand, but will always back each other up and lend a hand, tool, parts, time or fist to help each other out. There is a 'HardCore Membership' of around 15 who do as many Rallies and organised RideOuts as we can over the year and another 15 or so, who turn up when they can. We understand that people have commitments such as family and work, that are hard to get out of, so Members who don't turn up for a while are not spurned (though they may have the piss taken out of them)..... Welcome to the site and maybe we'll meet you at a Rally or RideOut......
